This website is currently under construction, but will soon be a list hub. The list hub will consist of various Discord and Forum websites that provide solid roleplay with intriguing stories and characters.
Since the end of the Golden age of the internet, roleplaying has slowly become far more mainstream among the netizens of the world. As a result, thousands if not millions of websites sprung up, before Amino and Discord pulled up.
Now, while that's great for the roleplaying community, it created a problem where the decentralization of players created a space where networking was near impossible, with the exception of having a RP friend group networked somewhere else. Places like Disboard filled the gaps, but the problems began there, and to summarize, I have provided a short list, in no order of significance:
This is great for community servers for a videogame, sport, regional group, or a sports fanclub, but roleplaying is a bit slower-paced by its very nature. That means that consistently attempting to 'bump' the server listing every 2 hours is just a timesink in itself.
Having trolled disboard for many a quiet night, the fact isn't lost on me that the listings for roleplaying servers are full of NSFW erotic roleplay or non-text RPs (GTA roleplays, Roblox roleplays, etc.). This list is specifically designed to serve text roleplaying, where players can create and interact with original and alternate universe worlds with original characters.
There's nothing wrong with inexperience. Everyone starts somewhere. However, when that inexperience is coupled with bad habits, and other users who have no interest in collaboration, but rather disruption under the guise of roleplay, it's important to establish a barrier for entry for the discerning roleplayer.
The objective of RP Server central is to build a repository that is open to servers that are vetted and have high quality roleplay; not simply by word count per post, but by the amount of effort placed into the server.
Servers will be organized by the following:
Websites/Servers interested in joining can message the Webmaster With the subject line titled "WEBSITE APPLICATION" in all captial letters with a brief blurb about the roleplay. Be as specific as possible. This e-mail will also accept any questions one may have regarding the process.
As sites roll in, I will create categories for the servers and websites.
